Yummy Takoyaki octopus snack
One of our fave snacks at any time of the day is Takoyaki たこ焼き 蛸焼. First popularized in Osaka this popular ball-shaped Japanese dumpling/pancake made of batter is filled with diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger and green onion. On the outside, the Takoyaki is brushed with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise and topped with green laver (aonori) and katsuobushi (shavings of dried bonito). Do you like Takoyaki?
