Want to know what it’s like being a parent? The engineers at the University of Tsukuba in Japan have created a  small baby simulator robot called Yotaro ヨタロウ who comes with an interactive screen that doubles as a face.

The interactive robot that is capable of portraying a whole range of facial expressions typical of a baby complete with the bodily movements and physiological characteristics. Yotaro can respond via an extremely well developed emotion-control system that signals an appropriate reaction to the user including  its ability to cry real tears on its 2 dimensional face.

The should have also put this baby-simulator into the SUIMA bed to make the picture complete :) that’s a good moto for the young Japanese couples to catch up with demographics in the developed markets.
