United Colors of Bean by Linear Motor
Linear Motor リニヤモーター are a Japanese band with a difference! The 3 person band from Tokyo lead by Masaki Nagano ながのまさき specialize in “punk” nursery rhyme songs AND the band members are also animators. The band has one album Popcorn released in 2008 with some songs used on NHK kids’ programs.
Their 2010 song and animation おまめ – United Colors of Bean (about different colored beans who stop fighting with each other to find peace) has won several animation awards including the Digital creators animation contest in Kobe, 2010 Children’s animation festival, Kitizyouzi Film Festival and Youtube video Awards 2010.
