Sumo wrestlers dressed up as Cheerleaders 1960s

An amazingly rare and funny photo from the 1960s showing professional sumo wrestlers attending a local Undokai (School Athletic Meet, or “Field day”) to entertain the kids. Instead of wearing their traditional Mawashi sumo belts 廻し, the sumo wrestlers have dressed up as cheerleaders including bras and majorette skirts!!! Who says sumo is not entertaining?
