Star Wars Japanese manga

Star Wars fans will be interested to know that there is a Japanese manga version of the popular story and movie series.  Illustrated by various manga arties including Hisao Tamaki, Shinichi Hiromoto, Kia Asamiya and Toshiki Kudo and published by Tokyopop and Dark Horse Comics in 1998  this Star Wars storytellling takes on a distinctly Japanese flavor.

Only the first Star Wars films were adapted to manga comics. There are currently no manga adaptations of Attack of the Clones or Revenge of the Sith.

In 2009, Take Shobo published two manga books based on The Clone Wars television series.
