Some pets love to exercise (or run about all day long!).  Japanese TV show “Nanikore” visits a small souvenir shop in Nikko where the owner has an American pit bull dog terrier called Teroru, who loves to exercise . Even after going on a long walk with his master, Teroru wants to be taken to his home-made treadmill to continue exercising.  The machine is powered by his own walking and he can stop whenever he feels tired.

In 1969 Maruzen petroleum company 丸善石油、 (now Cosmo コスモ石油株式会社,) advertised its petrol stations with snazzy TV commercials ” Oh! Mouretsu” which made then 23 year old Japanese model/actress Rosa Ogawa 小川ローザ hugely popular.

The giant Japanese salamander (Andrias japonicus) also known as Ōsanshōuo オオサンショウウオ (or pepperfish) can be found on the islands of Kyushu, Honshu, Shikoku in Japan.  The salamander grows up to 1.5 meters in length and is the second largest salamander in the world (the largest being the related Chinese giant salamander (A. davidianus).

The nocturnal and long living salamander (up to 80 years in the wild)  is an endangered and protected species (included on CITES) and lives in clear cool water streams.  It faces a struggle in its natural habitat due to dams that prevent the gi­ant am­phib­ians getting up­stream past the dams to lay their eggs.

When irritated or grasped, the Japanese Giant salamander produces a milky, sticky secretion that smells like Japanese peppers, hence the name Ōsanshōuo or Pepperfish.

Hitomi Furusaki 古崎瞳 is one busy Japanese race queen, gravure idol and fashion model.   The pretty 165cm tall 25 year old Hiroshima native with measurements 82 – 56 – 84 cm debuted in 2006.  “Hitomin” as she is nicknamed became 2006 image girl for JDM Option and a RQ at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Salon & F1 GP Japan.

2008 was her big break year with her becoming a K-1 World Max round girl, she joined the Zent Sweeties RQ team and was a finalist in the Miss Flash 2008 competition.  She continued her high profile in 2009 becoming one the A-Class RQ idols as well as being selected as part of the 2009 Nitteligenic team.

The busy bee from 2008 to now she has released an incredible 21 DVDs including 6 in 2010 and 11 in first 6 months of 2011.  Since 2007 – May 2011 she has appeared on 77 magazines including Gals Paradise, Weekly SPA, Flash,  Weekly Playboy, Enjoy Max, Sabra, Bomb,  Kissu, Entertainment Dash, Weekly Young Jump, Bejean and and lately on Tokyo Walker.  You may have also seen her on advertisements for Canon iVIS and Minerva Law firm.
