Eyeshield21 American football manga and anime

Eyeshield 21 アイシールド21 is a manga and anime about American football written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. An anime movie was made in 2004 followed by an anime television series in 2005 along with several video games and a trading card game from Konami.

The story revolves around a weak Japanese school boy named Sena Kobayakawa who joins Deimon Private Senior High School. Sena is a fast and agile runner due to his life surrounded by bullies. His abilities quickly catch the eye of the high school’s American football team captain Yoichi Hiruma, who forces Sena to join the Deimon Devil Bats as its running back. To protect his identity and to prevent other teams in the school from recruiting him for his speed, Sena is forced to publicly assume the role of team manager and enter the field wearing a helmet equipped with a green-tinted eyeshield in order to hide his features under the pseudonym of “Eyeshield 21″.

Eyeshield21 Voice actors Aya Hirano (Mamori Anezaki) , Miyu Irino (Sena Kobayakawa) and Kappei Yamaguchi (Tarou Raimon) investigate American football’s popularity in Japan and watch a live display of Japanese American Football Rice Ball at Tokyo Dome
