From Japanese TV in 2008, rising Japanese star American import model turned gravure idol and Jpop singer Leah Dizon (リア・ディゾン) met former Megadeth heavy metal guitarist and Japanophile Marty Friedman. The odd pair have several things in common – they are both gaijin living in Japan, both are involved in the music industry and they both love listening to Taiwanese R&B star Jay Chou (周杰倫).
For a TV segment the producers got them both together for Marty Friedman to teach the lovely Miss Leah Dizon how to play heavy metal guitar. Seeing one guitar lesson was not enough, they also got former Mr. Big guitarist and Japanese resident Paul Gilbert to also help Leah.
