One of the prettiest and cutest Japanese idols Nozomi Sasaki 佐々木希  is taken!!  According to Japanese rag The Nikkan Sports newspaper the 23 year old Akita model and actress is in a serious relationship and dating 27 year old Kazunari Ninomiya 二宮和也 from Jpop boy band Arashi.  Could the two be getting married anytime soon?

Although their agencies both deny wedding bells and dating  saying their just friends, The Nikkan sports says the couple first got to know each other last April  Sasaki was a guest on Arashi’s show “Himitsu no Arashi-chan!” (TBS) (Bet all the boys were trying to get her number!).  The cute pair then started dating seriously in winter but have kept a very low profile.

Cartoon Explaining the Fukushima Nuclear Reactor problem to kids

http://clipp.jp/assets/0f/0f1cee9ab46ed3f14af34fbc59a3993a_240.jpg

In Japan, someone has created this helpful cartoon (anime) that tries to explain the situation at the Fukushima Nuclear Reactors to young kids.   It is explained by Poop and Farts and that “Nuclear Reactor Boy” has a “Tummy Ache” おなかがいたくなった原発くん.

It’s a very serious time in Japan but kudos for someone trying to make it easy to explain to all the young kids (and some grown up’s too!)

TOKYO — As women in the United States and across the industrialized world get fatter, most Japanese women are getting skinnier.  Still, many view themselves as overweight.  “I am quite fat, actually,” said Michie Takagi, a 70-year-old grandmother and retired clothing store executive. She has a body mass index (BMI) of 19.9, which is at the thin end of normal. While the average American woman has gained about 25 pounds over the past 30 years, Takagi has gained 4.5 pounds, typical for her age cohort in Japan, according to U.S. and Japanese government figures.
