Japanese beach volleyball star Miwa Asao 浅尾美和 is still popular in Japan despite not making the Beijing Olympics. In the following clip from Japanese television, the 172cm tall, tanned beauty appears on a variety show along side other Japanese female athletes and sports stars such as Atsuko Okada 岡田敦子 (kickboxer) Hiromi Yasushi 片岡安祐美 (baseball) Chinatsu Matsui 松井千夏 (squash) and Yuka Kobayashi 小林由佳 (judo) in a cosplay segment.

Foxxi MisQ フォクシーミスク also known as “FQ”, is a female Japanese hip-hop trio comprising of CHIE (24 from Saitama) the “cool” one, YU-A (22 from Hokkaido) the “independent” one and DEM (24 from Osaka) the “simple” and “innocent” one. The group name comes from the words “Foxy!” and “misc”, as in “miscellaneous”. Beautiful 21 year university student Hiroko Mima 美馬寛子 has won this year’s Miss Universe Japan 2008 title beating out 9 other beautiful Japanese women (including our favorite Azusa Nishigaki 西垣梓) to represent Japan at the Miss Universe competition to be held in July in Hanoi Vietnam.

Hiroko Mima who studies at a college in Tokushima prefecture (western Japan) is very athletic and is on the track and filed team specializing in the high jump (She is 173cm tall and can jump 165cm!) During her high school days she was even nationally ranked and participated in national sporting events.  Read more...

Following in the footsteps of former Miss Universe Japan winners Riyo Mori 森 理世 (2007) and Kurara Chibana 知花 くらら (2006), ten beautiful Japanese women battle for the title of Miss Universe Japan 2008 (2008 ミス・ユニバース・ジャパン) which will be decided this evening at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C.

Japanese AV star Maria Ozawa 小澤マリア is definately looking at going mainstream like Nao Oikawa 及川奈央 and recently retired Ai Iijima 飯島 愛.  Not content with just appearing in DS455’s rap music video and a Morinaga TV commercial, she is acting in her first mainstream movie.  Japanese AV stars are quite popular in Taiwan and Taiwanese movie house Three Dots Entertainment have cast her in Taiwan’s first-ever slasher horror movie called “Invitation Only,”
